Til utstillingen 125.660 Specimens of Natural History, laget EQUANORTH suveniraktige, skandinaviserte arketyper av indonesisk tradisjonell arkitektur i porselen. Disse var eksempler fra de fem største øyene i Indonesia: Jawa, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Papua og Sumatra. Gjenstandene ble satt inn i en fiktiv setting sammen med research materiale fra Alfred Russel Wallace sine tekster om oppdagelser og kategoriseringer av arter i Indonesia. 

EQUANORTH er en norsk-indonesisk gruppe bestående av Sigrid Espelien og Farid Rakun. De jobber stedsensitivt med kritisk turisme, arkitektur og keramikk som utgangspunkt for research.

For the exhibition 125.660 Specimens of Natural History, EQUANORTH have made porcelain, souvenir sized archetypes of Indonesian traditional architecture from the five biggest islands Jawa, Sulawesi, Kalimantan, Papua and Sumatra. This is shown together with research material from Alfred Russel Wallace´s writings on specimens in Indonesia. 

EQUANORTH is a Norwegian-Indonesian group that works with critical tourism, architecture and craft as starting point for site specific research.
